Samson
What is your opinion on the name Samson and do you think it could be a good alternative to Samuel?

I like Samson and Samuel, both are nice names imo.

Hmm, I like Samson. It seems like the bibilical yet trendy response to Samuel, which to me as a classic sweet, but strong feel. I feel like Samson isn't as gentle.

I really like Samson and definitely prefer it to stale, uninspiring Samuel.

I think this was the name of the day just recently, I swear I saw it on the homepage. Anyway. I like it. I actually prefer it over Sampson.Obviously it is a great name for someone whose father is Sam/Samuel, etc.
But, beyond that, it sounds smooth, looks trendy but isnt, is simple both to spell and read and carries strength. So, even though it wouldn't be my first choice, I find it to be a respectable one, and hight prefer it over trendier -son names like Grayson, Madison, Bryson, etc. . .

I'm still on the fence... Where I live Samson is this hugely popular tv show about a talking dog. This show was a large part of my childhood and it's still very popular. So I can't think of Samson without seeing this talking dog :-P
Apart from that, I think it could work as an alternative to Samuel. It's less common and I like that it's biblical.

I don't like Samson. I know it's biblical, but it makes me think of parents who liked the sound of Jackson, but wanted their son's nn to be Sam. I think it's a viable alternative to Samuel, though, because both will end up Sam.
