Re: Need some ideas

Personally, I wouldn't think it's a good idea to use any form of Anthony, given your husband's first son is named Anton. It may make him feel like your stepping on his toes, you know what I mean? Though you could always ask him, because he might feel honored/more connected to his new brother that way. Either way I think it should only be used as a middle name most definitely.
Paul is a classic, and I guess it goes with Myrtle, though it's not as eccentric. I don't know where you guys live or your culture/ethnicity but would Paolo be an option? I've always though that was the best version of Paul myself lol!
Anyway, I did see your post in the lounge and I understand why you'd want to honor your father. You don't need to use both, just Paul would work great and honor him. And I think it'd be perfectly fine to use it as a first name, plenty of people do that :)

I understand what you mean. I talked about this with my husband, and he too doesn't really like the idea of using any form of Anthony. I think I agree. It'd feel a bit weird.
No Italian connections here, and where we live using an Italian name without any Italian connection is considered a bit tacky. I do like Paolo though, but I don't think I'd actually use it.
