Re: Names that fit with Sabrielle
haha, I was gonna say it doesn't really matter, but then I saw Kiel and my first thought was "that's way too similar!" So I guess it does matter. But I think that's just about the only way it matters re: fitting with the other character. What matters more is who the character is, where they're from, what they're home-life is like, etc like a hillbilly from Alabama is unlikely to go by Alistair, you know? Also important to take into consideration is, if you're writing sci-fi/fantasy, the name "matches" the world you've created. Like I have a science fiction story set in the far future and with many worlds and peoples/species and I keep the names sounding similar by choosing influences. Like one world's names are more Fino-Ugric sounding, while another is influenced by Sanskrit, etc Or one group of people have more "American south" type names, where another has "European aristocracy" type names. Something like that. Basically, describe your character a bit more otherwise you'll get suggestions all over the place! haha
