Re: Jasmine
omg, I was legit just discussing this with my friends last week, when we went to a pregnancy-congrats dinner (cause one of them is pregnant). It was a little weird cause they started discussing names but I was the only one there without any kids, or expecting any, so I felt shy adding to the convo... until we got to Jasmine. We came to the realization that every single Jasmine we knew was Latina, except for one, who is filipina. It was funny because we agreed it sounds like it belongs on a suburban white girl born in the mid-90s, even though none of our experiences with the name match that.It was very weird! So, yeah, I think of it as dated to the 90s (which, judging by it's popularity history it most definitely is lmao) for suburban white girls, but now also to Latina girls born in the 80s, which is, as I said, just about every Jasmine I know lol
