I like the way you broke that up, though disheartened that Eudora on your "still too clunky" list. I think I am mostly an endearing clunk kind of person... though Nadine and Matilda are Dh's faves... so his style is a bit more like yours.
Your assessment of Tamsin, Camille and Alma is interesting though.
Tamsin is a bit more mainstream, but the sounds are definately consonant heavy. I find this the trendiest of the list.
Camille oozes class and sophistication, as evidenced by it's pop culture use for the high class lady. Still, I think teh sound carries a strength that matches much of teh clunkier options.
Alma is so old-school. I just have no trouble picturing a wheelchaired grandma with hearing aids (usually at a piano, thanks to Sister Act). Hmm, but it might be too smooth to be clunky if I think about it.
