HelpWhat name would you have if you didn't have yours
A character I'm writing has to change her name. She's twelve, so she would struggle with it and probably chose something more childish. But her name is Lucille 'Lucy', and she's tomboyish, so I don't think a frilly name. But I want to know what ideas you have to name her and what you would name yourself if you had the chance.

How about Laurel? She might like to keep her "L' initial.
If I were changing my name, I'd be Elizabeth. Can't, though, it's my cousin's name!

When I was going through my tomboy phase, I went from Becky to Becki. I was twelve and thought it was super cool and edgy. Maybe she goes through a similar change? Lucy to Luci or Lucie? Maybe Lu? Does she have a middle name with some possibilities? My middle name is Elizabeth so for a while I wanted to be Izzy.
If I had to change my name, I'd maybe pick Rhiannon because my mom loved it and it's closer to Rebecca than my other choices.
