I really like Nicholas and Marcus. They sound handsome, classical and polished. Clay, of course, is earthy and reminds me of a rancher or farm boy. Lloyd sounds like an older man with a walker and suspenders. Dale is okay but a little hum-drum without much zest. Donovan is a Irish surname that fits right in with Scottish Douglas. It makes me think of "Donovan's Reef" with John Wayne.
