I guess it's alright.
I mean, I enthused about it at first consideration, and agreed with you, but something ... Then after saying it to myself a few times I thought veil, and a shadow fell on it and I didn't really like it any more. It's like Spring (boing!) and Jocelyn (jostling) - should be appealing, but it takes on a little bit of the wrong color because of soundalikes.
So I could get accustomed to it as a name, but I can't really enjoy it the way I wish I could. Sure it's trendyish because of the wordname thing, but that doesn't bother me. I think Vail looks more attractive, but it totally makes me think "outrageously expensive skiing destination" and because there's no other association, that ruins it.
I don't see it becoming any more popular than, say, Paisley. Probably less so.
Anyway I like Dale better. Or Dael (the archaic spelling of the word? hah).
