Perhaps her name is meant as a fem form of Percy, or a variation on Priscilla. Parsley is hilarious! My aunt used to work at an orphanage run by a church, and we were always hearing about what the Reverend Parsley had been doing - it's bad enough as a ln, but for a church minister I'm afraid I had to battle against giggling, every time.
