Re: Better spelling /More friendly spelling
in reply to a message by FXRIS
I agree with the others, Ferris is probably the easiest. While, I know if you want to change your last name you will, I just have to say that Ferris is an awesome last name. The guy that invented the Ferris wheel was an engineering genius. The Ferris wheel was made for the Chicago World Fair of 1893 to rival the Eiffel Tower of the Paris World Fair, and considering it was mechanical and moved and that sort of thing was all the rage, I dare say they did accomplish beating it.Now my history nerd is going away.If you must change it, I personally think Farris is easier. It's close to Harris, so it seems more instinctual to me.However, there is the American actress Anna Faris, so that might be more familiar to people.Which do you like better? What looks best with your first name?

I think Faris is the general consensus, and it is a surname already in use. So if you like it, go for it. :)
