Hedgehog names
Tomorrow my husband and I are picking up our new pet,a hedgehog. We are currently undecided what to call her. We currently have two male cats named Milo and Sid. Our new pet is female and I want to name her something very feminine and potentially nature inspired. Any ideas? Right now we really like Clover or Thistle.

Thank you! Thanks for your help everyone! We picked her up a few hours ago and decided to call her Basil. Like the herb not the name. It fits her perfectly.

That's so cute! If I"m honest I've always had a bit of a crush on Basil for a girl, pronounced like the herb as well. It's like a twist on Hazel.

Posy! A small bunch of flowers. ♥ It was one of my top contenders for my own little hedgie! We decided on Nymeria, and frequently call her Nymie. :)

i like clove instead of clover (which sounds more masculine to me)

Silvia (originates from 'silva' meaning "wood, forest")
Elah (Hebrew, "oak tree" or "terebinth tree")
Melia (Greek, "ash tree")
Gaia (from 'gaia,' a pararrel form of 'ge' meaning "earth")Don't think I can find anything else nature-related and feminine.
If I were to choose between Clover and Thistle, my bet would be on Clover. Thistle seems kind of too harsh to be feminine.

I love both names, they both really suit a hedgehog. Some other names:
Bramble
Violet
Daisy
Holly
Heather
Fern
Ivy
Willow
Parsley
Sage
Rosemary
Thyme

Clover on a hedgehog is beyond adorable. It brings to mind Flower the skunk in Bambi. I have no suggestions I just had to share that.

Thank you! That's definitely our top pick. We'll have to see if she looks like a Clover when we meet her.
