I love Julius. It's so much fun. It's ridiculous. I once knew one - he was my high school art teacher. He was a Hungarian snob, very much not what my idea of Julius is - fun and wacky and loud - but he was nice to me, so he didn't ruin my good feelings about the name. I guess it helped that I also never called him Julius, or even thought of him as a Julius.

I'd totally name a kid Julius, that name is so me. Julian is nice too, but a bit less fun. It's more "acceptable" where as Julius is like "whatever man, we are living in the theatre of the absurd".

As for female forms, I do like the classic Julia, but I also enjoy Juliet. And Julitta is a guilty pleasure.
