Matilda Joan has such a wonderfully medieval flair. I endorse.

I honestly have no ill feelings toward Joan, and find it fresh and strong -- never ugly or obligatory, but a welcome element.

Alix Joan is inspired! I adore Alix, I love how modern-ancient it is.

I also really like Daphne Joan, Isidora Joan (love this, very unexpected how well these two go together), Lila Joan, Susanna Joan (though I'm fond of the slight variation Susannah Joan).
