Asa
I went to school with a boy named Asa but I never thought about it until recently and I'm really liking it now. What are your thoughts on the name? How do you picture a boy named Asa?

I love Asa. I have a thing for feminine-sounding boys' names and masculine-sounding girls' names.I find it handsome. I'd imagine an Asa to be introverted and intelligent. He reads lots of non-fiction books.

I love Asa, it's one of my favourites. But my husband isn't fond of it, so I won't have a chance to actually use it.
I picture a boy with dark hair but pale skin, maybe grey/blue eyes.

I personally think of the character Asa Buchanon from The soap opera, One Life to Live. He was essentially a cantankerous, oldam character who was always trying to ruin other people's lives.

The only Asa I know of is Asa Butterfield who I know from his role as Mordred in the bbc Merlin show. Primarily because of him, I picture an Asa as being pale and thin with dark hair. The name was essentially unheard of when I was growing up (at least from my perspective), but now suddenly everyone seems to be talking about it. I'd be hesitant to use it because, like Aidan and Charlotte, it's one of those names that's currently trendy apparently due to being very uncommon 30 or so years ago.
