I don't think Wade sounds too similar to Cain. Sure it has the same 'ay' sound but the ending letter is what makes Wade and Abel less similar to Cain and Abel.
I'm not sure if my top pick would be any good to you since I have an eccentric naming taste but my top pick would be Ezra since, to me, it matches well with Wade. It's not really too much of a Jewish name in my opinion and I just don't see the point in even thinking that.
