India has a gorgeous sound and I really do like it, but I don't know if I'd use it. I feel like it would put my daughter in awkward situations a lot. "Have you ever been to India? Are your parents Indian?" It's not just using a name that comes from India, it is straight up putting a place name on the child.

May I suggest Indira? Still potentially problematic if you are not Indian, but it is stunningly beautiful.
