India Rose
What does everyone think of the combo India Rose?
Also, any suggestions for other middle names for India?~Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift. That’s why it’s called the present.~

I used to really like the name India when I was younger, because it seemed so different and exotic. India Rose was the combo I liked most and while I still think it sounds pretty, there is no way I would use it now.

I know an India-Rose with a sister called Brontë-Mae.

Personally, I love it and would definitely use it. In fact, it has been one of my top combos for over ten years.I know Rose is a bit fillerish but I like it. I would also consider Rosa as a middle name.

India leaves a bad taste in my mouth, and India Rose sounds like an object, same as India ink or Brazil nut. Other mn options:
India Kate
India Mary
India Eloise
India Arden
India Elinor
India Audrey
India Margaret
India Zoe
India Anastasia
India Alice
India Rachel
India ArielleI think India is best hidden in the middle or kept as a GP, though.

Although, I think it is a really pleasing combo, I feel like it sounds like an interesting Crayola shade.

India has a gorgeous sound and I really do like it, but I don't know if I'd use it. I feel like it would put my daughter in awkward situations a lot. "Have you ever been to India? Are your parents Indian?" It's not just using a name that comes from India, it is straight up putting a place name on the child.May I suggest Indira? Still potentially problematic if you are not Indian, but it is stunningly beautiful.

IT's pretty but it's also very stagey. Like a Hollywood baby name, and it also manages to sound like a scented bubble bath.

India is a beautiful name. It's really difficult to find the right middle for it. Rose is nice enough but not here. It's too descriptive of a name.

I love India! As pretty as India Rose sounds, Rose is just so "filler" as a MN. I like India Adele and India Sinead =)

I really dislike India as a name. India is the name given to the country by the British imperialists. So it screams of colonialism, exploitation and oppression with a side of cultural appropriation to me. I love the name Indira, and Indira Rose is much less expected than India Rose (snore). I have Indira Rosalind on my own list. Some Indira combos:
Indira Alice
Indira Clemency
Indira Hazel
Indira Jane
Indira Josephine
Indira Lucy
Indira Madeline
Indira Rachel
Indira Sophie
Indira Verity
Indira Violet

Do you not worry about the potential for cultural appropriation if you use Indira? I love both India and Indira, but wouldn't use either, for political / social reasons.

Well yes, but using a name that is from the culture seems at least a little more respectful. I would personally only use it because my in-laws liked Indira Ghandhi, since she's a fairly polarizing figure in the Indian community.

India Rose is super over done here in Australia. I'm pretty sure every kid named Indi/e or India that I know has the middle name Rose.
It's a bit trashy here. I can't say I like India. If I was going to use it i'd pair it with something really feminine and pretty.India Frances
India Beatrice
India Evelyn
India Ruth
India Celeste
India Marigold
India Harriet
India Amelia
India Constance

India Rose immediately brings to mind one of Chris Hemsworth's children -- his daughter, India Rose Hemsworth. To be honest, it is a very unsurprising and predictable pairing. I like the name India (especially with the nickname Indy), but Rose has been growing less and less desirable to me. Having said that, it isn't an unbearable combination... there is a certain appeal in the mingling of letters between them. The two names look decent together.

I tend to like names like Rose, Grace, Anne that are put in the middle so often MUCH better as first names.

I wouldn't use a combo that sounded so much like a phrase. Seems sort of gimmicky, although otherwise should be nice.India Rosa maybe. India Zoe?

I love India, think Rose as a middle name is too cliche, but the flow is good and they look pretty together so I'll turn a blind eye to Rose-as-middle-name....this time.

It's a tad predictable yet it's cute as a button. India is nice without being done to death.

It sounds like a brand or air freshener.
