That is a question I am unfortunately unable to answer. One name website has Lelde listed as "peace," but I am unsure how accurate that is since the Latvian words for "peace" are miera and miers. It looks to be a rare name even in its country of origin, so that would contribute to the lack of information. Another thought in my search for connected pieces is that it could be related to lelle: "doll," or an endearing "poppet"-like child. That seems conceivable. And I believe that an "-e" suffix in Latvian words denotes feminine-gendered nouns.

The lelle connection makes sense to me. Kind've like the name Bonnie.
