I agree that names such as Marianne and Anneliese are nicer then double-barrelled name.
French and Italian double barrels are nice including Ana-Sophia as well as Anne-Sophie.

Ooh, Ana-Sophia is beautiful. I recently saw a Maria-Olympia as well (think she was Greek?), which struck me as gorgeous.
