I like it. I know it's Biblical, but to me it sounds more like an Indian name. There is a musician called Vashti Bunyan, that's how I discovered the name.
I think the Biblical character is called Vasti in the Swedish translation, but the name is extremely rare here.

I'm not keen. I find it strangely old-ladyish

I think it's really exotic and sultry. I'd prn it VASH-tee.

I wouldn't use it myself but I enjoy hearing it (I've known two), it's fresh but still has that Biblical feel to it =)

It would sound very foreign where I live.

I like Vashti. I used to think it was pronounced VASH-tie, until I learned the correct way. I didn't like VASH-tee at first, but it's grown on me.

I think it's okay. You know, I'd planned on naming a character Vashti, but changed it.

I have known two Vashtis, both Australians. They love their name - it's a great conversation opener. Vashti was a spunky Biblical character, and the name appeals. I think it's totally usable.

I adore it!

I like it a lot. I also think it makes a great middle name for a plain first name, like Mary or Jane.
