Hate. I don't like -son names for girls (well, Alison is OK) and I REALLY dislike -syn endings. As if it would make a name "feminine"...hmph! The double "m" doesn't make it feminine either. There are so many nice "Em" names for girls: Emma, Emily, Emmeline, Emer, Emmy, Ember, Embla, Emerald, Emilia...so why Emmersyn?

I hate it too. I don't like surnames for first names much and I really dislike fanciful spellings for the sake of it

As the mother of a boy Emerson, I am deeply saddened at this abomination. :(

Makes me think of Emmeryn, one of the characters from Fire Emblem: Awakening (one of my favorite games).I don't care for it.

Ugh... it's awful. Two m's... the "y"... just very bad.

I like it but hate the slaughtered spelling and the fact that the name is being used for a girl.Emmersyn is still a male name. It just has a slaughtered and prissy spelling.
"Y-replacing-the-original-letter" no, enough already. Most of them look gruesome
