Re: What would you name a child today if...
1. You were just using names you love -- with zero regard to pop culture associations, a partner's choices, popularity or unpopularity, or what you're afraid the world would think of said name? (A name in name utopia.)I'd definitely consider using Annabel, Grace, Emily, and Isabel. I'd consider certain surnames for boys like Wilder, Wildes, Gardner, Sullivan. 2. You were using names you're very fond of, but had to consider a partner's tastes who were more conservative than yours/what the popularity charts say in either direction/the culture of where you live/the way the world may treat an actual little human with that name? (A name for the "real world". It can be the same as the above, if you feel the above combinations would work out.)Very few people have more conservative naming taste than I do. I might not use Virginia or Louisa or Sally if I were really worried about people's reactions, just because they seem a bit stodgy/old fashioned.
