It seems Middle Eastern to me at first glance, I guess because of alef and because Al could be a prefix. It also reminds me of Alan.I think it's unexpected but not bad as a NN for Alexander.

I can see how it would appear Middle Eastern and I would agree. It reminds me of Alan as well, but that's a bit of a negative for me. :DThanks!
