I’m not sure if it’s the same in the US or other countries but in the UK it’s another name for a jumper.

The difference is we don't call them jumpers lol.
I thought that might be the case. Now that I think about it “jumper” is a very British sounding word.

In the UK we call what you’re talking about dungarees.
In North Anerica, a jumper is a one-piece outfit, one that covers your top and bottom. In the UK, a jumper is a sweater.
