Strange sightings
Here are a few…unusual sightings from my old school disctrict, mostly from the highschool. Certainly not all of them are unheard of, just aren't your everyday, typical run-of-the-mill kind. Any favorites? Any ones that cause you to shake your head? I know a few of them I actually like myself. ~Enjoy~Tahlulah

I like Mavis. On a kindergartner, it is particularly refreshing. Lucian is on my PNL.The following were fun to see and are guilty pleasures:
Cambria
Ever
Edelmira
Raven
Cyrus
Rajwinder - This sounds like the roguish friend who helps the hero in a fantasy novel.
Falcon

Tahlulah -I like it, but prefer the Tallulah spelling.
Rajwinder -I've seen this as a given name before as well. Can't say I'm into it. I like some Raj- names and I like some -inder names, but this one just does nothing for me.
Tierney -I kind of like it, but I can hear the "tyranny" thing so I 'd never use it. I'd use Tiernan though.
Citali (Again, not the surname) -Looks like someone mistyped Vitali.
Cocoro -I'm not feeling it.
Kuzey -wtf? I'm reading this as "koozie" like those foam insulator things for your drink.
Slate -meh. I like a lot of word/nature names, but this one doesn't excite me.
Darrah -Cool for a male, but nms for a female.
Zev -I always think this would be a fun nn, but not a fun full name.
Cambria -nms. Seems like a nice place, but not a good place name. If that makes sense. Not that I prefer Cymru has a name or anything. I don't know what I'm trying to say. Something along the lines of I feel like this should be a nice name, but for whatever reason, I can't get into it.
Travon -nms. I don't think I like any Trav- names.
Nelson -Nels is cool, but Nelson is boring.
Enzo -Love this. I have a character named this. He's a doctor, but he wishes he'd became a musician instead.
Soul -Seems weird and kind of tacky.
Ever -This is one of those names that is cool in theory, but not in practice. It should be left in YA novels.
Analie -"anally"
Semfora -Maybe it's because of Sephora, but this looks/sounds like a company or product to me.
Jessenia -Like it.
Edelmira -cool
Raven -meh
Cyrus -I like Cy, but not Cyrus.

I'm reading it as 'Koozie' as well. Perhaps the parents wanted and alternative to 'Suzie?' Either way, not a fan.
Semfora DOES look like a company or product. I absolutely agree. Can't say I'm a fan of the 'Sem' part.
I'm sorry to report but I'm unaware of 'Falcon's' brother and I don't even want to know! We can only imagine. *laughing*
Yeah, Sasquatch is the only thing that comes to mind with 'satch' that and satchel. Poor kid.
I sort of see your point regarding the name 'Ever' (Though I pretty much can only tolerate it as maybe nickname) I mean what makes it worse is the pairing of the kid's surname. Let's just say it sounds pretenious and silly.

Maybe they wanted an alternative to Suzie? Maybe they're actually Turkish? Who knows? We can only hope this poor Kuzey hasn't suffered too much from it.Poor Falcon. Now we'll never know if he's a bird or an Avenger. It's just such a big difference that I feel like it would change my outlook on my entire life if I happened to be named Falcon. Either way, I hope his middle name is something incredible normal.Satch, short for Satchel, seems somehow more probable when you remember Spike Lee and Tonya Lewis Lee have a child named Satchel. As far as celebrity baby names go, it's always been an interesting choice, imo.

I like Zev as well and I'm sortof warming up to Mavis and Edelmina. I like Raj and Rajesh but not 'winder'

Tahlulah - I like it, but I prefer Tallulah.
Rajwinder (I double checked, not the surname) - I think it is Indian? I Kind of like the -winder names, but here I am unsure about the pronunciation. Is it like "ratch-wihnder"?
Tierney - I like it.
Citali (Again, not the surname) - okay.
Cocoro (Ditto) - sounds like a character from a manga comic.
Kuzey (Ditto) - I do not know how to pronounce it. Like "cozy"?
Slate - Kind of cool.
Darrah - cute.
Zev - I like it.
Cambria - okay.
Travon - nah.
Nelson - okay.
Enzo - nice.
Soul - Beautiful meaning, but too wordy for my taste.
Ever - nah.
Analie - no! omg.. poor kid.
Semfora - I prefer Sephora. But it is okay.
Jessenia - nice.
Edelmira - I love it.
Raven - cool, but wordy.
Cyrus - very nice.
Monroe - okay.
Lucian - I like it a lot.
Loic - nice.
Jazarah - nah.
Falcon - no.
Fenner - I just know it as a surname.
Joli - no. And if ever I prefer Jolie.
Akanksha - I am confused because of the -kank- part. I sounds horrible IMO.
Kaseb (Initially I read it as 'Kaleb') - Yep, I also read Kaleb first. Sounds odd, like Case and Caleb fused toghether.
Hominy & Ginger (Twins) - Ginger is okay. Hominy is just weird.
Satch - nah.
Aura - nice.
Sitthiphon (I had to carefully examine this name as I initially though it contained that 'S' word) - yes, I really first read the s-word. I am very confused about the pronunciation here. Is it "Sit-thi-phon" or "Sitt-hi-phon"?

Your guess on the pronounciation of 'Rajwinder' is as good as mine. /: Yeah, I imagine it must be an Indian name or some other ethnic name and I have a hunch that the kid goes primarily by 'Raj' (Raaj Is how I would initially say it. Like the Indian character from Big Bang Theory, Rajesh Koothrappali.
Sitthiphon: Yup, same thing. Never seen it. Your guessbis good as mine.
I imagine Kuzey would sound like koozie. Rhyming with 'Suzie' Or at least that's how I read it.
I think 'Esynce' is said like the word, essence. Excuse me while I go vomit. It's unarguably one of my least favorites from this list. Instant delete.

Cocoro might be a variant of the Japanese name Kokoro (heart/soul), not a fan of this spelling thoughI like Enzo, Cyrus, Fenner (interesting name), Jules, MavisAnalie is an unfortunate name for the image it brings to mind lmao

Oh, I wasn't even aware of 'Kokoro.' I imagine that it must be a variant of that. I prefer the K spelling as well.
Analie: Very unfortunate

Citali... alternative to Citlali? It's cute.
Cambria should be WAY more popular than it is. IMO it has all the makings of an uber-trendy, unique, semi-futuristic but still feminine name.
Travon... I like Treyvon and Trevon which are close.
Semfora, Edelmira, Cyrus, Lucian, Loic, Aura, Kentaro, Rhodes and Jules are cool.
Jessenia, I love this name omg.
Sitthiphon... this name is deffos Thai.
Nerik... Anyone remember Watcher in the Woods? Though that was NERAK tbf.

I'm unfamiliar with 'Citlali' but I guess Citali could be a variant of it. I mean this was one of those names I would honestly mistake as being the surname if one wasn't mentioned.

Cambria
Raven
Cyrus

Kentaro is nice.
Darrah is a name I remember from where I grew up;an adult, though, not a child of my age. Jules, for sure, some of them where I live now. And there's a Loic or two, not uncommon.

Hominy is the worst. There is just no excuse, not even a poor one, for naming a kid Hominy.

And to pair it with Ginger! One being the most bland, white food imaginable, and the other being delicious and spicy (and a real name that other people have had). Seems really cruel to do that to children.
