Ever heard of Jolyn?
I've been looking for information about my name for as long as I can remember, and I've never really found anything. I was named after someone and don't really have anything to help you, sorry. I'd love anything you could come up with. (it's pronounced jo-lin if it helps.)
Thanks

I too am a Jolyn. My name is combination of my parents names. I knew another Jolyn (who spelled it Jo Lynne) and it was a combination of her mother and grandmother's names.

Yes, I've heard of Jolyn; I knew a girl with that name, only she spelled it Jolynn. I haven't seen her in years, but I always thought that the name was unique.

Looks to me like a modern invention, created either through a contraction of "Jocelyn", or a combination of "Jo" and "Lyn".-- Nanaea

Yes! You're right. I'm a Jolyn and surprised to hear of a few more. My parents named me after three dear friends who passed...Joan/Jacklyn or (Jacki-Lynn as they pronounce it) and Grace (my middle name). I was making a personal website and thought this was so cool to come across. If I find my mall keychain I had made along time ago with my "name meaning," I'll post it. (It's somewhere around here and very interesting to read:)

JoLynn is my sister-in-laws name. It is a combo of the name Joe and Lynn. This should help you. Just click on the blue names.
