Hey there, I have been looking for some info on the origin of my name, "Shemi". Although i know it has origins in the Celtic languages I cannot find any direct references to it. Anyone know another Shemi or any other interesting facts about the name? Oh yeah, I'm male, if that helps!!!!

"shemi" means "my name", or "my Shem" (like a pet form of the name Shem) in Hebrew. :)

It looks like a Anglicized form of Seamus to me.
