At Rootsweb.com, when i put Tonji in the given name. There came up a listing for a Tonji Draper, whose mother was a Sonji.
From this it could be a possible change for a sound alike name, with Sonji possibly coming from Sonya.
And there about nine or ten listings for Sonji.
