I like the name Laura, and a nickname can be Lola, which I think also has all the key points you listed.

I think that the name Savannah has all of those characteristics. It's sophisticated, unique, but not at all unheard of, you could call her Anna or Savy for short, (Savy is unique but I think kind of cute.)I think it has a nice ring, and I can't really think of why someone would tease a child because of this name, but then again, kids can almost think of a way to tease any name! And I also believe that this name is good for either kids or adults. Just my opinion. :)
