It says that Marzena is a pet form of Maria. I am just wondering how that is... it Poland no one uses it as a form of Maria. It is a name on its own. It doesn't even sound like Maria since in Polish "rz" makes a totally different sound. Is it possible that it is a mistake... and perhaps the name is from literature [or something] like Grazyna?
