Nausicaa
Nausicaa is a character from the Greek mythology. She was the Phaeacian princess who met the shipwrecked Odysseus while washing clothes on the shore.Can anybody help me finding out the etymology of this name ?Thanks in advance,Andria.

I know this probably doesnt help or have anything to do with what your asking. But there is an anime called Nausicaa.

In the anime AlexandraTerese mentioned, Nausicaa is pronounced "naw-se-KAY-ah" though the Greek pronounciation is probably different.

My Greek dictionary says: from "naus" (ship) and "kasa"* (to achieve merits)
* I can't find this vocabulary word in the dictionary though
