My first name is Guesnerth, all i know is that its root is German/Austrian but I havent been able to find a meaning, I would highly appreciate it if you could shed some light on my name. Thank You!

Are you sure...that it is German/Austrian?Because it looks Welsh. In fact, I'm fairly sure there's a similar name in my thesis.
The name would be Gwasnerth, from gwas 'lad' + nerth 'strength'.
Nerth appears in other early Welsh names such as Idnerth, Dyfnerth; so does gwas - Gwasdewi, Tegwas etc.Celtic studies were (and still are) very popular in Germany - perhaps that could be the origin of your name.

Greetings, Mr. MacAlpin, I hope all is well.Thank you very much for finally deciphering my name, I was told by someone who was German that it was German and thats why I thought it was German, but your answer makes much more sense. Thank You!Respectfully,
Guesnerth
