Vivek or Viveka is a name used in India, which according to The Penguin Book of Hindu Names by Maneka Gandhi goes back to a Sanskrit word which meant "discrimination, distinction, true knowledge."

The Swedish name Viveca or Viveka and the Hindu name Viveka are only related by coincidence. There are thousands of languages in the world, and many names have more than one correct historical derivation from different languages.
