Quintilius (pronounced [kuin-TEE-lius]) comes from latin "quintilis = 5th. month": July (because in that times March was the first). Boys borned in July were called Quintilius. Other people say that some families called Quintilius to their fifth son. The origin is a "roman gens". Hope it helps.
