Re: Shiori
in reply to a message by Swiff
I prefer the spelling ŽD .. it means "Woven Poem" or "To Weave a Poem" Shiori isn't commonly used because it is a feminine name, but it has the character SHI in it. The kanji for "death" is pronounced "shi", so that particular syllable has a lot of taboos built in around it (for instance: you never give gifts in groups of four because the kanji for four can be read as SHI). SHI is more acceptable in masculine names then it is in feminine names.Other possible spellings include:
ƒVƒIƒŠ (katakana ... it has no meaning)
‚µ‚¨‚è (hiragana ... still no meaning)
ŽjD "Woven History" or "Woven Chronicle".
