Would I be right in assuming that the girls' name Evanna would be a feminine version of Evan? And possibly a modern invention? I can't find it listed in any of my name books and I'd appreciate any info on it.

It came to my attention recently from seeing the Harry Potter film where Luna Lovegood is played by an actress called Evanna Lynch.
