I was wondering if anyone knows whether the Croation name "Goran" is "George" in English. If so, how? And if not, is there an English translation of "Goran."

In Croatian 'gora' is a mountain and I guess in English it would be Montan / Montana.

I am macedonian and I've understood that Gora means forest and that Goran means something like forest person.

Given that Goran comes from "gora" - forest, I would say Silvester is a good pick.
