There are a number of Bosnian people at my friend's workplace, and I was curious about the meanings and pronunciation of a few of their names. Cekic is a turkish word.it means hammer in "turkish".But its written with turkish alphabet like "çekiç" (c with dots) its pronouncation is like "che-kee-ch" :)and ismet is arabic name in turkish.it means chaste or virtous one.maybe ismata is the female version of it.
