Hi,in German there is a name Dorle which could be the origin for Dorly - it's a short form of Dora which in turn is derived from Dorothea or Theodora. Perhaps this helps...

My name is Dorly and my mother told me that this name is very common in Switzerland (my granny was from that country). It is a nickname coming from Dora /Dorothea.
