In Shakespeare, Rosaline is pronounced RAHZ-a-line. Your teacher is saying it right, only the "s" sound is actually a "z" sound.

Also, the traditional English pronunciations of Rosalind and Rosamund are RAHZ-a-lind and RAHZ-a-mund.

P.S. The short "o" sound isn't exactly like "ah" but it sounds the same in my accent.
