ummmm....
in reply to a message by Haven
The names are here, but he was suggesting the namesakes to be added - pointing out different actresses who he thinks should be listed under the name...

I'm not clear about the point of all this. Out of all the gazillions of Sandras in the world, are Bullock and Dee really that special? Where will this end - Mickey, used by a famous mouse? Monty, as in Python? Sandra Dee, as in the song from "Grease"?Now, when it's a case like Vanessa, which was invented as a nonce name and then caught on, it's interesting and useful to know about Esther Vanhomrigh; same with Wendy and JM Barry and/or St Wendolin - but more or less random actresses? Why? (Believe it or not, I'd really like to know!)

And I don't suggest only actresses; for example for Dawn I suggest Australian swimmer Dawn Fraser and for Wanda Polish pianist Wanda Landowska!

I'm so sorryI was in such a bad mood when I posted that. I had been insulted by Constatine. I totally apologize for saying what I said, and next time will make sure to read your post more carefully. In hindsight, it is I who like an idiot.Haven

Don't worry Haven, I've forgiven you. In fact, I've already forgotten it.

About Sandra and Vanessa: I've read that Sandra Dee contributed to expand her name in the USA (I won't deny that Sandra could be a girl name before she made her apparition onscreen, but I think that when she appeared the name bloomed).Vanessa: I know that is a literary invention, but I'm talking of a bearer - a REAL PERSON!
