Kateri is a Native American tribal form of Catherine, Mohawk I believe but I'm not certain. The pronunciation is disputed but most things I've read have something similar to gah-deh-LEE though I think some sites put the stress on a different syllable. Kateri was the name of a Roman Catholic saint, Kateri Tekakwitha, the Lily of the Mohawks.
