Is Jesus used as a name in Brazil or Portugal? It's not mentioned in the database entry. It's just that one of Madonna's ex-boyfriends is the Brazilian model Jesus Luz. Is it a common name in Brazil?

Yes, but it is not nearly as popular as in Spanish-speaking countries. Maria de Jesus is often seen on (older women). It's much more common as a surname.

I'm Brazilian myself. Yes, we use the name Jesus. It's used as is, without the accent over the U. It isn't as common as it is in Spanish, but it is definitely used here. I know a few guys named Jesus myself.
