I met a kid named Solly today. The mom said the name was short for a name that sounded like "Solrose".
Solly sounded like a traditional named for Solomon, so it rhymes with Olly and Sol like Saul.
The name she said it was short for Solrose the -rose part was said to rhyme with gross, not like the name Rose with a z ending, but a hissing s ending. So like Saul-Rowss.
She said it was a different language, but don't remember the language. Anyone know what name this could be?
