I can only help - or try to - with So(u)taro(u).
-tarou is a common kanji combination in male names, it used to be more frequent some generations ago but it seems to be making a bit of a comeback nowadays. 太郎 is usual, in which the first kanji means 'big, great, thick' and the second one roughly means 'son'. It can be used on its own as a name but it's more frequently a name 'ending' if we're to use Western terms (think -er like Peter, Walker, Asher but without the etymological component).
For the sound 'sou' there are a a few kanji to choose from:
総 'whole, all, general'
層 'layer, seam, class'
僧 'monk'
奏 'play (music)'
聡 'wise'
壮 'strength, vibrancy, manliness'.
These are just some possibilities, there's a lot more kanji that can be read as 'sou' and some have more apt meanings than others.
