My column on Sally

It's one of those minor facts that had never crossed my radar before. :) Not quite sure why that was the case, though it may have something to do with -ie being considered a more "feminine" spelling than -y, as shown by pairs like Billy & Billie, Bobby & Bobbie, Andy & Andie, etc.
