why am i still doubted?
just checked the database for Felicity and Serenity and there it is stated that the names have the same meaning as the English words (duh).
So why am i doubted when i say that 'menneke' means 'little man' (i'm the one to know as a native Dutch speaker) and so Menke (and Menneke) are derived from this word and there you go...i gave the meaning and origin

Mike C: this is a good and trustful site about (mostly) Dutch names. if you have trouble translating it, i'll be very glad to help. now this must help add some Dutch and Frisian names. (Lonneke is on the site too)
