My patient last night was a Hispanic woman in her 30s, and Praxedis was her fn. She pronounced it pra-SEY-dis. We did not have enough language in common for me to ask her where her parents got her name. I've never heard it before. Anybody have any ideas? I'm thinkin maybe Native South American? She was Mexican, but that would not necessarily limit the pool of names her parents could have drawn on. ~Lillian~ Proud daughter of Ann and John Proud sister of Lauren and Leah Proud wife of David Proud mother of Alexander, Scarlett, Sophia, and Gideon
