Rename characters from fairytales with names that make sense - it could either be a literal 'translation' (eg. Beauty becomes Belle) or a creative 'translation'.

Little Red Riding Hood: Ylva Russel - Ylva is Old Norse for "she-wolf," Russel means "little red one" in French
Princess and the Pea: Delilah- "delicate, weak, languishing" in Hebrew.
Rumplestiltskin: Pseudoareus- pseudo means false or contrived, Latin aureus "golden, gilded"
Snow White: Edelweiss or Eirwen or Gwyneira- Edelweiss literally means "noble-white" in German. Eirwen and Gwyneira both mean "white snow" in Welsh.
Cinderella: Amélie Hestia - Amélie is the French form of the Germanic name Amala meaning "work." In Greek mythology Hestia was the goddess of the hearth and domestic activity. Vesta was the Roman counterpart.
Peter Pan: Colin Dante- Colin means young or youth in Gaelic, and Dante is Latin for "enduring." Literally it means "enduring youth."
The Little Mermaid: Maris- "of the sea"
The Beast from "Beauty and the Beast": Alan Hades- Alan could mean "handsome." Hades is Greek ‘Αιδης derived from αιδης (aides) meaning "unseen." His beauty/handsomeness was unseen.
Actually, I prefer most of their original names although the Little Mermaid had no other name in Hans Christian Andersen's work.
