The dog was Pascal’s idea. That’s how Bronwen, who is a cat person, explains away Bee, a German Shepherd puppy the Klein family recently adopted. Pascal, who has always had a dog in the house, thought that Bee would be a good companion for little Di, who just turned one. Bronwen wanted a cat, too, but after talking it over, they decided one pet at a time would be enough. So far, Di and Bee get along pretty well. Bee’s a big dog, though, and keeps getting bigger, while Di is still tiny - there are many dog-baby collisions. Bronwen’s been keeping her hours at the florist’s down, just until they can get Di into a preschool in a couple years. As for Pascal, he finishes his undergrad program very soon!
